(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR No. 149, dated 3.6.2021, Police Station City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran, under Sections 306, 452, 323, 148, 149 IPC, was lodged at the instant of petitioner's mother as regards suicide committed by petitioner's brother Karamjit Singh who was driven to commit suicide on account of conduct of his wife and other members of her family.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the accused are now threatening and pressurizing the petitioner and other members of his MOHAN SINGH 2021.11.26 16:19 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and without making any expression as regards the merits of the case or the averments made in petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, that in case any representation is moved by the petitioner seeking protection to his life and liberty or to other members of his family, the same shall be got examined as regards the alleged threat perception and necessary steps, if any are required, shall be taken strictly in accordance with law. It is further directed that respondent No.3 shall also ensure that investigation in respect of the above FIR in question is got conducted expeditiously in accordance with law.

A copy of this order be sent to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, so as to enable him to do the needful at the earliest.
