(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3, to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, who apprehend threat to their life at the hands of private respondents No.4 and 5, who are stated to be family members of petitioner No.2. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Inderpal Singh Sabharwal, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from HC Gursewak Singh, submits that a statement has been made by both the petitioners that there is no danger and threat to their life and liberty at the hands of private respondents.

In the wake of the instructions received by the learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner, does not press the instant petition Dismissed as not pressed.
