***** SANDEEP MOUDGIL, J.(ORAL) The jurisdiction of this Court has been invoked under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing the respondents no. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent nos.4 to 8.

Learned State counsel has submitted that a speaking order has already been passed in the representation dated 15.07.2025 by the authorities concerned and has produced the copy of the same along with the statement of petitioners, which is taken on record. He has furnished a copy of the order to counsel for the petitioners. The relevant thereof read thus:- "In this regard, the investigation was conducted by ASI Manohar Lal 690/SBSN PS Balachaur. In this regard, the statements of petitioner No. 1 and 2 and the mother of the petitioner No.1 were recorded. The petitioner Yuvraj Singh and Lovepreet Kaur daughter of Sukhwinder Singh resident of #16013, Street No. 10/16D, Ward No. 3, Guru Gobind Singh Nagar, Bathinda, District Bathinda are living in a live-in relationship at ward No. 10 Balachaur, they have written in their statements that they have no danger from anyone." CRWP-7638-2025 In light of the above, counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press this petition further.

The petitioners would be at liberty to file appeal, as is stipulated in the Standard Operating Procedure, in the light of notification No.HOMEHM-40 40SECM/14/2025-2H4/63 dated 23.01.2025 issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Punjab, Government of Punjab (Home-4 Branch), in case of any grievance left after passing of the speaking order. Petition stands dismissed as not pressed.
