RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for calling status report of the investigation in FIR No.0010, dated 16.01.2017, under Sections 323, 324, 506, 148, 149 IPC, registered at Police Station Khamano, District Fatehgarh Sahib. It is also prayed to direct the police authorities for expediting the investigation in the above mentioned case and present the final report and conduct the fair and impartial investigation. It is further prayed to direct the official respondents No.1 to 4 not to harass/pressurize the petitioner and his family members to enter to compromise.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that FIR is pending investigation since the year 2017 and there is no progress in the same till date.

CRM-M-40810-2024 -2who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State and has submitted, on instructions from ASI Naresh Kumar, that twice the cancellation report had been submitted in this case on the basis of compromise, however, later on the parties backed out and hence case is pending investigation. He submits that investigation would be completed within four weeks.

In view of the above statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents/State to complete the investigation, as stated before this Court, within a period of four weeks from today in a free and fair manner. Respondent No.3, Senior Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Sahib, would ensure that no undue influence/pressure is put on the petitioner or his family member for affecting compromise, as alleged before this Court.
