The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 seeking direction to official respondents to conduct investigation in a fair and impartial manner in case DDR No.24 dated 26.08.2024 under Sections 115(2) of BNS, 2023 recorded in FIR No.153 dated 04.09.2024 under Sections 118(1) and 115(2) of BNS, 2023 and Section 118(2) of BNS added later on, registered at Police Station Sadar Fazilka, District Fazilka against private respondent, in a time bound manner and further seeking protection of life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.4.  2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner contends that he would be satisfied in case directions are issued to the official respondents to decide her representation in a time bound manner. 3.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the prayer made by the counsel for the petitioner and further without commenting upon the merits of the case, the Senior Superintendent of Police, District Fazilka, is directed to decide the said representation within a period of 04 weeks, by passing a speaking order.
