The respondents No.3 and 4 have recommended to respondent No.1 for extending the tenure of the petitioners till 31.03.2023 but no action has been taken by respondent No.1. He further contends that the petitioners have sent a representation (Annexure P-4) in this regard and they would be satisfied if this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the representation (Annexures P-4) in accordance with law. Issue notice to respondents.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Abhaypal Singh Gill, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the representation (Annexures P-4) in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
