Versus
State of Punjab and another ......... Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANOOP CHITKARA Present:- Mr. Gopal Singh Nahel, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Harsimar Singh Sitta, DAG, Punjab.
**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J. (ORAL) The petitioner has filed a petition for quashing of FIR as well as framing of charges vide this composite petition.
Learned State counsel has opposed the present petition on the grounds that the charges were framed way back on 19.04.2019 and in the guise of this petition, the petitioner is trying to come out of the hurdle of limitation. Faced with this, learned counsel for the petitioner wants to withdraw the present petition with liberty to challenge the charges and also to file an application for condonation of delay in challenging the charges by giving appropriate reasons in this regard. Given above, the present petition stands disposed of having been withdrawn with liberty aforesaid.
It is clarified that filing and withdrawal of the present petition shall not come in the way of petitioner in any manner.
