Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in case FIR No.67 dated 17.04.2019 registered at Police Station Kamboj, District Amritsar, petitioner has not been named. Now, SHO, Police Station Kamboj is calling him to come to the police station and furnish the bail bonds. A representation has been made to Director General of Police, Punjab, Chandigarh, copy of which has been placed on file as Annexure P-3 to investigate the case in a fair and impartial manner but no action has been taken on his representation.

As per the postal receipts, copy of which have been placed on file, copies of representation were sent to various authorities on 29.08.2019. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to look into the representation of petitioner in due course and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order. However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as giving any type of protection to petitioner from being associated in the investigation or calling upon him to furnish the bail bonds, if required.
