This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for issuance of directions to respondent no.2 to take appropriate legal action against respondents no.3 to 5 on the basis of allegations contained in the representation dated 23.09.2022 (Annexure P-1). A further prayer has also been made with regard to issue directions to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members at the hands of private respondents.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Ferry Sofat, Additional Advocate General, Punjab puts in appearance and accepts notice on behalf of respondents no.1 and 2. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that let this petition be disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 - the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to consider and decide the representation dated 23.09.2022 (Annexure P-1) alleged to have been submitted by the MONIKA 2022.09.29 19:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Accordingly, without commenting upon the merits of the claim of the petitioners and even the assertions set out in the petition, the present petition is disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 that if any such representation, as indicated above, is indeed pending consideration, it shall be dealt with expeditiously, in accordance with law by passing a speaking order, preferably within four weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and conveying the same to the petitioners.
