The prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to the respondents to allow the extension of parole of the petitioner which was granted to him by the Authorities for 08 weeks under Section 3(1)(aa) of Punjab Parole Amendment Act, 2015.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner has given a request for extension of parole vide Annexure P-1 dated 17.08.2023, however, no decision has been taken till date. 3.
