Petitioner is stated to be a Graduate in Physical Education from Punjabi University,Patiala. He is stated to have a "D" Grade Sports Gradation Certificate dated 30.6.2004 issued by Director,Sports,Punjab. By way of public notice dated 6.4.2016 (P-2) 199 posts of Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator were reserved to be filled up from Sportsman quota out of total 2664 advertised by the Subordinate Services Selection Board,Punjab.

The grievance of the petitioner is that only 17 posts have been filled up and no reason has been assigned for the non-filling up of the remaining posts.

Present writ petition is devoid of material facts. At the time of hearing,learned counsel prays for permission to withdraw the petition so as to approach the authorities under the RTI Act and thereafter, if so advised, file a fresh petition if the cause of action arises.
