CORAM:HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE JAISHREE THAKUR
Present:
Mr. Baltej Singh Sidhu, Advocate for the petitioner.
-.- JAISHREE THAKUR J. (ORAL) This is a writ petition that has been filed seeking to challenge the order dated 09.08.2021 (Annexure P-4) whereby one year service of the petitioner has been forfeited permanently as annual promotion. It is submitted that this order was passed on 09.08.2021 and is appealable. The petitioner herein was unable to do so on account of family circumstances. He has approached this Court directly by way of filing the instant writ petition.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and in view of the fact that statutory remedy of appeal is available, the instant writ petition is disposed of in limine, directing the petitioner to avail remedy of appeal within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. He would be at liberty to file an application for condonation of delay in filing the appeal, which would be considered by the authorities concerned in accordance with law.
