By this petition, petitioner seeks issuance of directions to respondent no.2 to protect his life and liberty and that of his family members, at the hands of respondents no.4 to 9. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that at this stage the petitioner would be satisfied if the representation made by the petitioner to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Annexure P-2) is examined by the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, and action taken accordingly. Consequently, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, to go into the grievance of the petitioner after hearing him and to take action, as may be required as per law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
