Prayer in the present Criminal Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the official respondent Nos.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.5 to 8. 2.

Notice to respondents No.1 to 4 was issued.

Learned State counsel has informed that previously, the petitioner had moved complaints dated 25.07.2024 and 30.07.2024. However, the petitioner did not appear, as such, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Crime against Women and Children, Kapurthala, closed the proceedings on account of non-appearance of the petitioner. Copy of the said report has been submitted in the Court today, which is taken on record.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from DSP Gurmeet Singh Sidhu, has assured that the representation by way of legal notice dated 25.07.2024 SIMRANDEEP KAUR 2024.08.30 10:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment.

CRWP-8158-2024  (Annexure P-1) would be considered again and the same would be decided within a period of one month from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would appear before the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kapurthala on 03.09.2024 and give all the necessary details. 6.

With the aforesaid observations, the present Criminal Writ Petition stands disposed of.

However, the State shall remain bound by the undertaking given today in the Court.
