A writ in the nature of mandamus is prayed for seeking a direction to the respondents to resort to necessary measures so as to remove/shift the garbage dump as referred to in the representations that are alleged to have been made by the petitioner from time to time. It is alleged that even though a considerable time has elapsed but the matter has failed to evoke any response from the respondents' authorities. Resultantly, the general public continues to suffer owing to their inaction. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that let this petition be disposed of at this stage only with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the repeated representations made by the petitioner within a specified time.
