This petition has been filed for quashing/setting aside order dated 27.06.2023 passed by District Magistrate, SBS Nagar. 2.

Learned counsel contends that the verification report dated 15.06.2023 was submitted to the District Magistrate, SBS Nagar. On the prayer of the petitioner for 8 weeks parole, order has been passed by the District Magistrate on 27.06.2023, Annexure P3, however, it conveys no decision in the case.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.3 to decide his case for 8 weeks parole afresh, as the order dated 27.06.2023, Annexure P3, does not even specify that his request has been rejected or accepted. 4.

On receipt of advance notice, Mr. Manipal Singh Attwal, DAG, Punjab, puts in appearance and states that he has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to look into the matter and decide the same expeditiously by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law.
