 The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short-'BNSS') for quashing of FIR No. 025 dated 16.01.2025 under Sections 318(4) of BNS (Later on added Sections 336(3), 338, 340, 111(3), 61 of BNS, 2023 and 66-D of the IT Act, 2005) registered at Police Station Sampla, Rohtak (Annexure P-1) and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-2).

In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 025 dated 16.01.2025 under Sections 318(4) of BNS (Later on added Sections 336(3), 338, 340, 111(3), 61 of BNS, 2023 and 66-D of the IT Act, 2005) registered at Police Station Sampla, Rohtak and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise shall stand quashed qua the petitioners subject to payment of Rs.5,000/- as costs to be paid to the High Court Legal Services Committee 7.
