(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for staying the dispossession of the petitioner during the pendency of application dated 07.07.2025 (Annexure P-3) for setting aside ex parte order dated 18.10.2021 (Annexure P-2) passed by the Estate Officer, Cantonment Board, Ambala.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to file an appropriate application before the Estate Officer, Cantonment Board, Ambala for seeking preponement of hearing of his application for setting aside ex parte proceedings, which is stated to be pending for 11.08.2025.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty aforesaid.
