1. The petitioner seeks issuance of directions for setting up of SIT (Special Investigation Team) to investigate the matter arising out of FIR No.60, dated 29.07.2024, Police Station Mehna, District Moga, under Sections 22/61/85 of NDPS Act, lodged against the husband and brother-in-law of the petitioner.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Ramandeep Singh and Amandeep Singh i.e. the husband and brother-in-law of the petitioner are not involved in any other case and have been falsely implicated by the police and that as a matter of fact they were never present at the spot as would be MOHAN SINGH 2024.09.02 15:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh

CRM-M-42867-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) evident from the CCTV footage in respect of which photographs have been annexed as Annexures P-2 to P-7.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, but without commenting anything as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, to ensure that the matter arising out of the aforesaid FIR is got investigated fairly and expeditiously by some seasoned Investigating Officer in accordance with law so that a final report be submitted thereafter at the earliest. The petitioner would be at liberty to send the photographs Annexures P-2 to P-7 to respondent No.4-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, so that the authenticity of the same can also be got verified.

5. A copy of this order be sent to respondent No.4-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, for necessary compliance.
