(Oral) This letters patent appeal assails the interlocutory order dated 17.08.2016 whereby learned Single Judge has permitted the authorities to declare the result and make appointments to Punjab Civil Services (Executive Branch) for Register-C subject to decision of the writ petition filed by the appellants.

Since the question of eligibility of the appellants is yet to be adjudicated by the learned Single Judge, we are satisfied that the interim order passed by learned Single Judge is just, fair and equitable. Needless to say that the appointments shall be without prejudice to the rights of the appellants and in case they succeed, they would be entitled to all the consequential benefits.

The appeal stands disposed of.
