Through the instant petition, the petitioners have craved for issuance of directions upon the respondents No.2 and 3, to ensure that no harassment is henceforth caused to the petitioners and their family members, at the instance of respondent No.4, who has been, through respondent No.3, calling them in the police station concerned time and again and then causing harassment to them, by using offensive language and extending threats.

The learned counsel for the petitioners, in his asking for the relief (supra), has submitted that since the petitioners' sons, namely, Prince and Tinka, have been arrayed as accused in the FIR No.242 dated 16.06.2023, under Sections 302, 379-B, 341, 427, 148, 149 of the IPC, registered at P.S. City Ferozepur, District Ferozepur, therefore, the petitioners and their family members are being illegally harassed by the respondents concerned, under the garb of investigation. CRM-M-44479-2023 2024:PHHC:006227 concern or connection with the accused (supra), nor they are providing any shelter to them, however, despite that, they are being harassed by the police officials concerned through calling them to the police station concerned and through raiding their houses, without any reasonable cause. 3.
The learned State counsel has, on instructions imparted to her by A.S.I. Raman Kumar, informed this Court that most of the accused in the FIR (supra), including Tinka, have been arrested, however, Prince could not be arrested, as he is evading his arrest. Therefore, appropriate action will be taken to secure the arrest of the absconding accused. 4.
The learned State counsel has further made a categoric submission, on instructions from the official concerned, that the police officials do not have any intention to cause any harassment to the petitioners and their family members. She has further submitted that the police officials concerned will, in future, ensure that no harassment or inconvenience is caused to the petitioners and their family members, owing to their raids, which shall only be conducted if there arises any apprehension that Prince, the absconding son of the petitioners, is hiding in the house of the petitioners. She has further assured that raid, if any, will be conducted only after following mandatory procedure of law. 5.
In view of the submissions and assurance made hereinabove by the learned State counsel, no interference of this Court is required. 6.
Disposed of accordingly.
