Present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for quashing the partly impugned order dated 08.08.2022 (P-6) passed by respondent No. 3, whereby petitioner is wrongly ordered to be retired from service on 31.12.2022; instead of actual date, i.e. 12.12.2025 on the basis of incorrect service record. At the outset, learned counsel on instructions from petitioner submits that instead of pressing the present petition on merits, his client would be satisfied in case the representation dated 25.08.2022 (P-7) is decided expeditiously.

Notice of motion to the aforesaid limited extent. On asking of the Court, Ms. Lavanya Paul, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent(s)-State and raises no objection against the innocuous prayer of the petitioner.
