MEENAKSHI I. MEHTA, J. (Oral) By filing the instant revision-petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner-defendant No.1 (here-in-after to be referred as 'the petitioner') has sought the indulgence of this Court for the issuance of direction to learned Civil Judge (Junior Division), Ludhiana (for short, 'the trial Court') to decide the Application bearing CM No.365 of 2016, as moved by respondents No.1 and 2-plaintiffs with the prayer to pass the final decree in Civil Suit No.350 of 2009, in a time bound manner, while averring that the above-said Application is pending since the year 2016 and she (petitioner) is an old lady, aged about 77 years and she has already lost her husband and is facing great harassment/hardship due to the afore-said prolonged litigation.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner in the present YAG DUTT 2024.01.11 15.14 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgement

CR No.5218 of 2023 -22024:PHHC:002509 revision-petition and have perused the file carefully. 3.

Keeping in view the facts that the above-referred Application is pending adjudication for the last more than 07 years and the petitioner happens to be a senior citizen and without commenting or expressing any opinion on the merits of the said Application, i.e CM No.365 of 2016, the revision-petition in hand is, hereby, disposed of with the direction to the concerned trial Court to expedite the proceedings in the afore-mentioned Application and to decide the same, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 02 (two) months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
