The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 1 to impound and revoke passport of Vyom Sharma in FIR No. 371 dated 4.11.2022, under Sections 323, 34, 406, 498-A and 506 of IPC, registered at Police Station Sector-14, Gurugram.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that husband of the petitioner namely Vyom Sharma is residing out of country. The petitioner has lodged aforesaid FIR against her husband. He is neither attending investigation nor coming back to India. The police has issued Look Out Circular against him but passport authority is not impounding his passport. CWP No. 19674 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:117396 The petitioner has made representation to -respondent passport authority to revoke/impound passport of Vyom Sharma.

This Court cannot ask respondent-authorities to impound passport of anyone especially when the passport holder is not even party to the petition.

Without commenting upon the merits, the petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent-authorities to look into grievance of the petitioner and do the needful, in accordance with law.
