Mr. Avinit Avasthi, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab. **** The petitioner has filed this petition for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari quashing note of sub clause (v) of Clause 15 and note of sub clauses (ii) (v) of Clause 16 dealing with 1% reservation to sports person, of notification dated 22.08.2022 (Annexure PD10) with regard to admission to MBBS/BDS course in the State of Punjab.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that with regard to her grievances, the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 26.07.2022 (Annexure PD12) to the respondentDUniversity and the respondentD University has not taken any decision thereon and forwarded the same to the Director, Department of Medical Education & Research, Government of Punjab, vide letter dated 23.08.2022 (Annexure PD13). He further submits that till date, the said representation is still pending for adjudication with the State Government and no decision thereon has been taken so far. Learned Assistant Advocate General appearing for the respondentDState of Punjab submits that the aforesaid representation filed by the petitioner shall be considered and a decision thereon would be taken expeditiously in accordance with law.
