... Appellants VS.
State of Punjab & Anr.
... Respondents **** CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE SURYA KANT HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE P.B. BAJANTHRI ****
Present:
Mr. Onkar Rai, Advocate for the appellants **** SURYA KANT, J. (Oral) CM-1695-LPA-2015 For the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed and the delay of 34 days in filing appeal is condoned. CM stands disposed of.
LPA No.810 of 2015 (O&M) (1) The instant Letters Patent Appeal impugns the order dated 21.01.2015 read with the subsequent order dated 09.03.2015. On a bare perusal of the order dated 21.01.2015, it is apparent that it was a consent order based upon the compromise arrived at between the contesting parties to which the appellants are also signatories. (2) No appeal is maintainable.
(3) The observation made by learned Single Judge in the concluding paragraph of the order dated 09.03.2015 is also in the interest of maintaining the sanctity of compromise hence the same is expressly upheld.
(4) Dismissed.
