The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 10.01.2024 (Annexure P-2) and direction to respondents to count the service rendered as Special Police Officer for qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary/retiral benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that case of the petitioner is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court in Harbans Lal Vs. State of Punjab in CWP No.2371 of 2010 and Sukhjit Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others in CWP No.9936 of 2017. On being confronted with judgments of this Court, Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, expressed his inability to support impugned order dated 10.01.2024 (Annexure P-2). 4.

In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of.
