RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to refund the amount deposited by the petitioner alongwith interest. It is further prayed to direct official respondents to pay appropriate compensation to the petitioner on account of his mental harassment due to allotment of shops with defective title. It has been contended by counsel for the petitioner that representation, Annexure P-2, was filed by the petitioner before respondent No.3 on 02.08.2023 but no decision has been taken on the same till date. Notice of motion to official respondents only at this stage. On asking of the Court, Ms.Akshita Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State.

After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a MEENU 2023.09.06 13:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
