This appeal has been filed by the Registrar/Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (appellant) against the judgment and order dated 22.04.2015 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court whereby the award dated 05.12.2014 passed by learned Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal (respondent No.1) has been upheld and respondent No.2-workman has been ordered to be reinstated on the post of Painter Grade-II from the date of alleged termination and further holding him to be entitled to entire SHARMA YOGESH 2015.07.09 17:59 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

LPA No.973 of 2015 (O&M) -2back wages along with interest @ 12% per annum from 28.06.2006 till reinstatement.

Learned counsel for the appellant, during the course of hearing, has referred to the evidence on record and contends that there has been misreading of the facts. However, during the course of hearing, he accepts that there is not much merit in the appeal and he may be allowed to withdraw the same.

In the circumstances, the appeal is dismissed as withdrawn.
