This appeal has been filed seeking enhancement of compensation awarded to the appellants by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Karnal on account of death of their 12 year old son, Rahul. Notional income of the deceased was assessed as `40,000/- per annum and a multiplier of 20 was applied. `1,00,000/- on account of loss of love & affection and estate was awarded, besides, `25,000/- towards funeral expenses. A total amount of `9,25,000/- alongwith interest @ 9% p.a. was awarded to the appellants. There has been no representation on behalf of the appellants on the last two occasions. Today again, there is no representation on their behalf. It appears that the appellants are not interested in pursuing the matter any longer. Appeal is accordingly dismissed in default.

Copy of the order be conveyed to the appellants at the available address.
