The appellant's claim for extension in service has been turned down by the learned Single Judge vide order under appeal and rightly so on the ground that he is facing disciplinary proceedings and there is an express clause in the Government policy that those employees who are chargesheeted are not entitled to seek extension in service. Learned counsel for the appellant, however, contends that disciplinary proceedings are lying stagnant and no steps have been taken to conclude the same. In view of the aforestated facts, we dispose of this appeal with a direction to disciplinary Authority to expedite the proceedings and conclude the same as early as possible and preferably within three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
