(Oral) Vide the order under appeal, learned Single Judge has dismissed the appellant's writ petition in which he questioned the cancellation of his admission in M.Tech.(PGWLF) in the respondentInstitute of Engineering & Technology. There is no quarrel that as per the information brochure, it was one of the mandatory condition that "the candidate must have secured atleast 60% marks (55% marks in case of the candidates belonging to reserved categories) in aggregate in qualifying degree". The appellant admittedly has not secured 60% marks in the qualifying degree of B.Tech. He was granted admission by mistake/ inadvertently and such mistake having been detected, his admission was cancelled within two months.

LPA No.2364 of 2016 (O&M) [2] from the authorities or that he has altered his position once the admission was granted, cannot be accepted as he himself was aware of the above condition at the time when he applied for admission. The appellant despite his informed knowledge that he was ineligible, took a chance and ran the risk of seeking admission. He thus cannot blame the authorities alone for subsequent cancellation of admission.

No case to interfere with the order under appeal is made out. Dismissed.
