1. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a charge-sheet was served upon the petitioner after she had superannuated. The said departmental enquiry is still pending and in the garb of the said enquiry, the petitioner's retiral benefits have been withheld.

2. Notice of motion.

3. Mr. Paramjit Batta, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of State.

4. This Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition at this stage itself with directions to the State Government to conclude the enquiry proceedings expeditiously within a period of 4 months henceforth and pass final orders one way or the other. 5. If the petitioner is still aggrieved, she would be always free to challenge the said order.

6. In the meanwhile, provisional pension is required to be released to the petitioner in terms of Rule 9.14, Volume III, of the Punjab Civil Services Rules.

7. She would be entitled to all consequential benefits and her entire retiral benefits shall be released along with interest as applicable under the Rules.
