The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents-PAU to revise the pay scale of the petitioners and grant benefit of ACP scheme on completion of 5/10/15 years of service. 2.

Learned counsel submits that the petitioners are entitled to benefits at par with Farm Managers working at Krishi Vigyan Kendres of the respondentsUniverstiy as advertisement, eligibility criteria of qualification, job responsibilities of theirs is the same, and regarding which legal notice dated 28.04.2025, Annexure P-5, has been served upon respondents. The Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana-respondent No.3 vide reply dated 26.05.2025, Annexure P-6, has informed that the said University will now take appropriate action to settle the issue. Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 4.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 28.04.2025, Annexure P-5, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
