(ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent-authorities to grant him admission in the MDS - 2021 (Master of Dental Surgery) (Endodontic and Conservative) course on the basis of his having qualified NEET - MDS 2021 Examination. Learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he has moved a representation dated 20.11.2021 (Annexure P-8) before respondent No. 1 - University which may be directed to be considered and decided by them in a time bound manner as the matter relates to admission.

Looking to the aforesaid prayer made by learned senior counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent-authorities to consider and take a decision on his representation dated 20.11.2021 (Annexure P-8) in accordance with law, within a week from the date this order is served upon the respondent No. 1 - University, and communicate the decision thereon to the petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and, therefore, the authorities would be at liberty to examine the matter keeping all facts and facets into consideration and thereafter accept or reject the same in accordance with law.
