*** NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present Criminal Writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondent No.2 to protect the life and personal liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondent No.3 as well as the arryaed private respondents No. 4 and 5 who have caused serious damage to the life and liberty of the petitioner by using their political clout and till date despite the submission of representation (Annexure P-1), no efforts have been made by respondent No.2 to provide police protection to the petitioner to ensure that he may not under any threat.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, as not pressed. Dismissed, as not pressed.
