(ORAL) Prayer in this 1st petition under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (B.N.S.S.) is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 0046 dated 11.04.2024 registered under Sections 363, 366-A, 120-B IPC, 1860 (offence under Section 376 IPC and 4 POCSO Act added lateron) (Annexure P-1) registered at Police Station Maur, District Bathinda.

Custody certificate dated 03.09.2024 filed in Court today is taken on record, as per which, the petitioner has undergone the custody period of 1 year and 2 months as an undertrial. After arguing for sometime, when this Court is not inclined to accord the benefit of regular bail to the petitioner; learned counsel submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition, at this stage.
