The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents No. 1 and 2 to issue his passport.

The petitioner is a Government servant and he is serving with Government since 1986. The petitioner was issued passport on 26.05.1992 which expired on 25.05.2002. The petitioner applied for re-issuance of passport, however, respondents have closed file of the petitioner. 3.

Counsel for the respondents submits that file of the petitioner has been closed because petitioner did not submit documents in support of his date of birth as well as his job. She further submits that if petitioner files PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.09.21 15:01 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP No.19576 of 2023 -2- 2023:PHHC:124131 fresh application and submits documents in support of his date of birth as well as employment, the passport authority would process his application, in accordance with law, within six weeks thereafter. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

The petitioner is at liberty to file fresh application seeking passport. On doing so, passport authority would pass an appropriate order within six weeks thereafter. The petitioner shall submit requisite documents in support of his date of birth and employment. 6.

Petition stands disposed of.
