(Oral) Learned Single Judge has vide order under appeal dismissed the appellant's writ petition in which she sought a direction for her migration from Guru Hargobind Institute of Law for Women, Ludhiana to the Panjab University Campus at Ludhiana, in B.A. L.L.B (Honours) 5 years Integrated Course. Learned Single Judge declined to interfere on the ground that as per the Rules of the University, migration can be allowed in 3rd, 5th or 7th semesters only and not in 4th semester.

According to learned counsel for the respondent-College, the appellant appeared in the 4th semester examination and thus irrespective of her ultimately performance in that examination, she is now eligible for admission in 5th semester. LPA No.507 of 2016 (O&M) [2] migration as per the University Rules. Learned counsel for respondentCollege states that subject to fulfillment of the conditions contained in the Rules, the college will grant 'No Objection Certificate' as per its written commitment given vide letter dated 15.03.2016 (P-8). The appeal is accordingly disposed of with a modification in the order of learned Single Judge to the extent that subject to fulfillment of the eligibility conditions as per the Migration Rules formulated by the University, the appellant's request for migration in the 5th semester shall be considered within a period of one month from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
