**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) The case has been taken up for hearing through video conferencing.

Petitioner has preferred this petition for issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 and 2 to protect life and personal liberty of the petitioner from being invaded by respondent No.5 and his associates.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is a widow lady and is residing alone. Her husband has already expired on 23.03.2021. Her sons are also residing abroad. She is owner of one plot. Mutation has already been sanctioned in favour of her as well as her sons.

-2Petitioner has raised pointed allegations against respondent No.5 in the context of his interference in the land in question in order to grab the same with the help of his henchmen.

Petitioner has also filed a suit in which temporary injunction has been granted in her favour thereby restraining respondent No.5 to interfere in the peaceful possession of the petitioner and also not to dis-possess her.

In view of continued threat at the instance of respondent No.5, petitioner has also filed a representation before respondents No.2 and 3 on 21.10.2021.

At this stage, learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case her pending representation is ordered to be decided by respondent No.3 in accordance with law.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. T.P.S. Chawla, D.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4.

In view of nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, there is no necessity of calling upon response from the respondents at this stage, as no order prejudicial to the interest of any party is being passed.

-3This petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to take note of the pending representation filed by the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
