**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) The limited prayer made in the present writ petition is for grant of benefit of interest in favour of petitioners-landowners on account of delayed disbursement of compensation determined in terms of and award dated 20.12.1993.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that before pursuing the present writ jurisdiction, he may be permitted to approach the authorities i.e. respondents No.2 and 3 so as to submit a detailed representation regarding the relief claimed, relying upon decision made by Hon'ble Supreme Court in case of "Union of India and Anr. Vs. Pushpavathi and Ors. 2018(3) SCC,28"

Upon advance notice, learned State counsel representing respondents on instructions from Gurbhej Singh, Assistant District Attorney, O/o Land Acquisition Collector, Panchkula submits that in case any such representation is made by the petitioners within a period

2023:PHHC:124494 CWP-19517-2023 -2of three weeks from today, the same shall be decided as per law by affording an opportunity of hearing to petitioners within a period of eight weeks thereafter and a copy thereof shall be conveyed/communicated to the petitioners immediately.

It is made clear that aforesaid direction may not be construed as an expression of opinion on the merits of the writ petition. 5.
