Harpreet Kaur Respondent CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AVNEESH JHINGAN

Present:

None for the petitioner.

Mr. Nakul Sharma, Advocate for the respondent.

**** AVNEESH JHINGAN, J (Oral):

The contempt petition was filed pleading that respondentwife had backed out from her earlier statement dated 24.12.2010 made before the District Judge, Jalandhar. The grievance was that she had received 10 lakhs, thereafter refused to give statement for second motion under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. None has put in appearance for the petitioner. Even on the last date, petitioner was not represented. Learned counsel for the respondent-wife submits that matter is compromised and divorce by mutual consent is granted. In view of statement made, the contempt petition is disposed of.
