Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, for directing respondents to submit the investigation report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. before the learned trial Court in case FIR No.107, dated 02.07.2018, under Sections 447, 440, 427, 511 and 506 IPC, registered at Police Station Dharamkot, District Moga. It is further prayed to direct the official respondents to furnish status report with regard to investigation conducted in the above-mentioned FIR. 2.

It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that FIR in this case was registered on 02.07.2018 but till date investigation has not been completed.

CRM-M-42215-2024 -2and submits, on instructions from ASI Jaswinder Singh that on completion of investigation, cancellation report was filed before the Illaqa Magistrate, however, the same was rejected and further investigation was directed. He submits that now the case is pending for re-investigation. He further submits, on instructions, that the investigation would be completed within four weeks.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and in view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents/Investigating Agency to complete the investigation expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within four weeks from today, as submitted by learned State counsel.
