The controversy pertains to entitlement of the respondent to seek pension in accordance with the Pension Scheme implemented by the appellants-University w.e.f. 01.04.1995. In somewhat similar situation in LPA No.1153 of 2016 (Kurukshetra University,Kurukshetra vs Manjit Singh), decided on October 21, 2016, we interpreted the Pension Scheme of appellants-University and have held that the employees who came to be appointed on regular basis after 01.04.1995 are not required to exercise any option as the Pension Scheme was applicable qua all of them. The respondent in the instant case was appointed on regular basis against a vacant post in the year 2006, i.e. much after 01.04.1995. For the reasons assigned by us in the cited order, we do not find any merit in this appeal, which is accordingly dismissed.
