This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19.
Prayer in this petition is for transfer of the petition under Section 13(1)(a) of the Hindu Marriage Act filed by the respondent from Family Court, Rohtak to Court of competent jurisdiction at Karnal. Mr. Akashdeep Singh, Advocate appears on behalf of the respondent and submits that he has no objection to transfer of the said petition from Rohtak to Karnal, however, he submits that matter be decided expeditiously by the competent Court, with the petitioner not taking unnecessary adjournments. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no question of the petitioner taking any unnecessary adjournments in the matter. Keeping in view the specific stand of the respondent, petition under Section 13(i)(a) of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, filed by the respondent, pending before the learned Family Court, Rohtak is transferred to the court of competent jurisdiction at Karnal. Parties to appear before the said Court on 04.03.2022. Petition is, accordingly, allowed.
