RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioners have approached this Court praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.1 to 4 to initiate enquiry against respondent No.5 by considering the representation dated 13.07.2023, Annexure P-2, for grabbing money after allotting the plots from panchayat land to other persons than the original allottees/petitioners, in accordance with law.

Notice of motion to official respondents only at this stage. On asking of the Court, Ms.Akshita Chauhan, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents/State.

After hearing counsel for the parties and going through the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, i.e. Deputy Commissioner, Gurdaspur, to decide the representation, if any filed by the petitioners before it within ten days from today, expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from the date of its receipt.
