Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is a dispute of passage between the parties. However, he confines his submission only for protection of life and liberty of petitioner at the hands of private respondents.

Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar to look into the grievance of petitioner regarding threat to his life and liberty, verify the same and take appropriate action as required under law.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to petitioner from any action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
