Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the dasti notices have been served upon respondents No. 4 & 5, however, none is present on behalf of them.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has very fairly submitted that, in fact, petitioner No. 1 has gone back and is now living with respondent No. 4.

Per contra, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Surinder Pal has verified the said fact and submits that petitioner No. 1 is now safely living with her mother i.e respondent No. 4 and apparently, there is no threat perception.

In light of the above, learned counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of the present petition at this stage. PARUL 2023.11.24 18:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn at this stage. 6.

However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to approach the competent authorities, in case, any threat perception arises or if petitioner No. 1 is forced to marry against her wishes, which shall be looked into by the authorities in accordance with law. 7.

It is made clear that filing or pendency of this petition or any order/direction passed in this petition shall not be an alibi or defence to the petitioners, in case, they are found involved in any illegal activity and the respondent-Authorities shall take appropriate action, in accordance with law.
