The present contempt petition has been filed alleging deliberate and intentional disobedience of the order dated 28.05.2019 passed in CWP-23214-2017, whereby the respondents were directed to provide a passage to the land of the petitioners within a period of three months.

Learned State counsel submits that, in compliance with the order dated 28.05.2019, a short reply by way of affidavit dated 23.10.2024 of Mr. Rajinder Singh, Administrator, has been filed. A copy of the same has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioners and the affidavit is taken on record.

A perusal of the short reply/affidavit dated 23.10.2024 shows that the order dated 28.05.2019 passed in CWP-23214-2017 has been complied with.

In view of the above, the contempt stands purged and the rule is discharged.

Needless to say that liberty is however granted to the petitioner to challenge the short reply by way of affidavit dated 23.10.2024 in accordance with law.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
