(Oral) This is a petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in a case registered against him vide FIR No.139 dated 21.07.2017 under Section 22 of NDPS Act at Police Station Jamalpur, Ludhiana, District Ludhiana, as bail/surety bonds of the petitioner have been cancelled and forfeited to the State in view of his non-appearance on one of the date of hearing i.e. 14.05.2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner shall furnish an undertaking before the trial court that he shall not absent himself on any date of hearing in future.

Under the circumstances, in case, petitioner appears before the trial court within two weeks from today and furnishes an undertaking as aforesaid, he may be released on bail subject to such terms and conditions as the court may deem fit to impose.
